I've been told that this house is owned by a landscape architect, and it shows! The house is cute but really what I love is the garden, which changes through the seasons.0
This week's cute house is an unusually large Victorian cottage in the Houston Heights. I love the steep angle of the roof, the subtle craftsman details, and the earthy color palette.
The Garden Conservancy is hosting an open day in Houston on Saturday April 18th from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. I am excited to announce that one of my projects is on the tour! A completely renovated ranch house for which I collaborated with Di Nunzio Lifestyle Architect, Indigo Interior Design, and Tellepsen Landscaping.0
Admission to each private garden is $7 per person, or discounted tickets (6 for $35) will be available at the following locations on the Open Day: 802 West Temple Street, 2434 White Oak Drive, 6502 Taggart Street, and 6801 Hazen Street.
Visit https://www.gardenconservancy.org/events/all-events/houston-tx-open-day for directions to the gardens and more information.
This week's cute house is this Spanish Revival from the 1930's located in Houston's River Oaks neighborhood. I love this house because even though it is a grand house, its scale and proportions make it seem very intimate.0
